Failed interview twice - any advice?

🎯 Interview Experiences

I've now failed the driver interview twice with two different TOCs. First time I was told I was too nervous, second time they said I lacked sufficient examples for the competency questions.

I really want this but starting to lose confidence. Has anyone else failed multiple times and still got there? Any advice on how to improve?

Don't lose heart. I know someone who failed 3 times before getting in. Persistence is key!

The competency questions are tricky. Have you tried preparing specific examples using the STAR method?

@controller is right. You need concrete examples for each competency. Think through your work history.

Maybe ask the recruiters for feedback? They might tell you what areas to work on.

@rookie - take a break from applying for a bit. Come back fresh when you're ready.

I was in the same boat. Third time was the charm for me. You can do this!

Thanks everyone. I asked for feedback and they said I needed more safety-focused examples. Working on that now.

@rookie - that's useful feedback! Safety is absolutely critical to them. Focus on that.

Keep going. The right job will come along. This is a marathon, not a sprint!
