Manager interview question about safety

🎯 Interview Experiences

In my interview last week, I got a question that really stumped me: "What would you do if you saw a colleague breaking a safety rule?"

I answered honestly but I don't think it was what they wanted to hear. How would you guys approach this?

They want to hear that you'd stop the work immediately. Safety always comes first.

And that you'd address it directly with the colleague first, then escalate if needed.

The key is showing you'd act, not ignore. Even if it feels awkward to speak up.

@guardtodriver - they also want to see you understand the difference between a genuine mistake and recklessness.

Good points everyone - helps to understand what they're really looking for!
