Uniform allowance - what do you get?

💬 General Discussion

Quick question about uniform allowances. My TOC gives £200 per year for uniform replacement but I've heard some get more. What's the standard allowance like at other companies?

Also, do you get it as cash or have to order through a specific supplier?

I get £150 per year. Have to order through the uniform supplier - can't just take the cash.

Same here - about £150. Uniform catalogue is decent though, reasonable prices.

We get £200 but it's credit in the uniform shop. Not cash unfortunately.

Some TOCs do give cash but most use the supplier system now.

@northern.driver - the uniform quality is decent so the allowance goes quite far.

Thanks - good to know what's standard across different companies!
