Directory Search

3
Mock 3
10 minutes
Dual-Task
Combined - search directory + count tones (10 min)
Test Instructions

Three separate test modes to assess different aspects of attention: Mock 1 is tone counting with audio tones (1, 3, or 5 min), Mock 2 is directory search only (5 min), and Mock 3 is the combined dual-task test (10 min). Choose the mode that matches what you want to practice.

What It Measures
  • •Mock 1: Auditory attention and tone counting accuracy
  • •Mock 2: Visual selective attention and search efficiency
  • •Mock 3: Dual-task performance and task switching
  • •Sustained attention across different test durations
How It Works
  • •Mock 1 (Tone Counting): Count audio tones played at random intervals with visual distractions
  • •Mock 2 (Directory Search): Find telephone entries matching symbols and area codes
  • •Mock 3 (Dual-Task): Combine both tasks - search directory while counting tones
  • •Each mock assesses different attentional skills in isolation or combination
Expert Tips
  • •Mock 1: Focus on listening - the visual numbers are just distractions
  • •Mock 2: Work systematically through sections and use area codes to filter
  • •Mock 3: Stay calm - tone counting is secondary to the main search task
  • •Practice each mode separately before attempting the dual-task
