A clear starting point.

Study a passage, then answer multiple-choice questions from memory. Four free mocks cover Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert, with study periods from 45 to 115 seconds. The practice pack includes 16 more TRP1 mocks. These passages are practice material, not railway operating instructions.

How the practice works

  • 4 free mocks: one each at Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert
  • Study time scales by tier: 45s (Foundation) up to 115s (Expert)
  • Difficulty rises through passage length - harder tiers give you more to memorize
  • Passage is then hidden
  • Answer 4-7 multiple choice questions from memory
  • Total: ~3-5 minutes per mock

A few things to try

  • Read actively - focus on key safety rules, numbers, and procedures
  • Mentally group related information to aid recall
  • Don't stress about every detail - focus on the main points
  • Practice improves both speed and accuracy
